Waste to Wonder Park |

Timing - 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Closed on Monday & National Holidays
When a traveler is on go, no spot remains to be untouched,
and the spot we are talking today is a newly open park for the public in Delhi which gives an essence of seven wonders of the world named Waste to Wonder. It is located
in Sarai Kale Khan near the metro station. It is a perfect example of best out of
waste as every monument is made of scrap metal i.e. chains, iron sheets, nut
bolts, bicycle rims, defunct swear lines, and parts of trucks, bike, etc., and
more than 150 tons of metal is used in each monument to build which cannot be
discarded and by this saved energy and time.
When you first step you will find SDMC promoting themselves
and encouraging people to keep the park and other surrounding neat and clean.
Moving forward there we will be your first monument The Great Pyramid
of Giza originally situated in Greater Cairo, Egypt which is incredibly beautiful. The original pyramid was constructed in the 4th dynasty on
the command of Hemiunu, who was responsible for all royal work. But our people
had tried their best to make anything with historic value with metal sheets to
gives its glance.
Leaning Tower of Pisa |
Our next monument is the Leaning Tower of Pisa originally located in the Italian
city, Pisa. The fact that enhance it, is that it is tilted 4°
due to an unstable foundation and found still standing. It was built by architects
Diotisalvi and Guglielmo and took 200 years to complete its construction. The
virtue of this tower can be seen in Delhi.
Eiffel Tower |
Further going towards the city of our dreams Paris and our
next wonder is Eiffel Tower which
is incredibly pleasing. It was built by Stephen Sauvestre, Maurice Koechlin and
Emile Nouguier. The best point of this is that it is the most-visited paid
monument. The best part of this tower in Delhi is the night view that it gives
the satisfying view which gets in your heart.
Colosseum |
Now let’s go to our next wonder Colosseum which is situated in
Rome. It was built by Vespasian, one of the best architects. Actually, Colosseum
is an amphitheater. But it only took 100 days in Delhi to get it to build using
scrap iron taken from Delhi’s Children park. It a get a great place to visit and
get a glance at it.
Taj Mahal |
Most of us believe in love and a lot of you have listened to many
tales like Heer-Ranjha, Romeo-Juliet, Laila-Majnu. So till now most of you have
already guessed our next place to visit i.e. the Taj Mahal. It was built by the
orders of Shahjahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. He also wanted to build
a Black Mahal but was not able to do so, that’s what Delhi has made: a Taj Mahal
but black(a replica form)
Christ The Redeemer |
Moving ahead towards our next place to visit is Christ The
Redeemer is an art deco statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janerio.
It was built by Heitor da Silva Costa. Delhi has made this statue in 30 days
using park benches and cycle rims. It is a symbol of Christianity all over the
world.
New York is the city of light and happiness and so is our next
monument, the Statue of Liberty which was built by Gustave Eiffel. It represents
the symbol of freedom which was a gift from France to America. Visitors need to
climb 354 stairs to reach there but it’s not that much for a delhite.
All these places give you a very delightful experience of
the real places but the fact is it's made up of metal scarp and the night view
is also breathtaking with lights and bushes surrounding each monument. It is a great experience to go
there and have some fun with friends, family, or other relatives. You must visit such an amazing place.
